Hang on. Most topics on here refer to and slag off fast posties. All i am doing is backing the posties that want to rush home and spend time with their families or hobbies. If your manager lets you finish early why not take advantage of it.

Coming in early, working for free? No it is not. I might start an hour early but i also finish an hour early. What is the harm in that? I do my job properly, my customers are happy they get their mail at a reasonable hour. Why is their such a big debate about it?
You can back who you want, you can have your little club, but you called 'people in the thread' morons.
Now chill and move on,better get an early night, you've got to get up extra early in the morning.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Yesterday a ex CWU mbr was in dead on time at 6AM on the IPS for offical time of 0610 stayed on IPS untill finished at around 7.20 /7.25 he went home at 12.20pm no meal break taken. Paid until 2.45pm

Walks a steady/fast pace but even that cant explain away the time made.

Is it any wonder the DSM is telling the DOM to utilse the J and F time to cover all the hundreds of new delivery points going up? :arrrghhh

Your right. Taking the family to the beach tomorrow for a picnic. And then maybe squeezing 18 holes in before dinner. Enjoy dragging your heels all afternoon and spending as much time as you can away from your family friends and hobbies!

I understand your view point but you now have to work as pairs and realise that the good old days are over, you now need to realise that you need to work your time.If you were working with me you would be taking your break as i would not be running to your tune,so what would you do then?
