Not working today. Had to go and get my wifes car ; with a bill of £160... and then petrol needed.

But I went for a pint (and only a pint as I was driving) and put my change into the fruit machine.

Rsult .... £140

Case closed

Well done :Applause :Applause :Applause :Applause :Applause :Applause

Did this not happen to someone else on here a while back :hmmmm (winning money part)

The day was s**t.
The twats who do the least work make the most noise, and every little change in the DO is greeted as though the world has stopped turning.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Heavy. Loads of DSA including a bulk mailing from the CO-OP. Very warm and humid, got a shower just before half way round, lasted about 20 minutes or so. Spent most of the day with a thumping headache. Maybe that was due to the weather. :hmmmm Anyway, day off tomorrow so I'm off out tonight for a few pints. :Very Happy

Try http://www.csis.co.uk/home-insurance/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I just used them for my car insurance and saved loads.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Happy Birthday.
Postman baked the cake. It is a new recipe. He was a bit keen to try it. Sorry.

Today was all about my dick head of a line manager as usual.

Started at 7.30 to train someone on a duty when that person has done the duty as often as I have - in fact he was on it last week, I haven't done it since December. I prepped the duty and at 8.45 got pulled to a do a 9AM Special Delivery to an address that was at least 20 minutes away. Roadworks made it an hour round trip and the Special was delivered at 9:11.

Returned to office and after being informed of my managers plans for the next two days - namely 8 hour duties that take 10 hours to deliver I said I didn't want to do overtime. He said I needed to be flexible, I asked does this mean I had to work overtime? He said no and told me to put it to him in writing that I didn't want overtime.

Pulled the duty out and set out, at 11 got a phone call to go back to the office and was sent out to cover off loops that had been left in a completely unknown place to me. Informed the manager I was working until 13.30, took my break, did what delivery I could and went home.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I take it I don't actually need to do this?
