Also heard a rumour today there might not be any more summer lapsing at my DO! But thats because our DOM is just going to do a little revision and add it all on to our walks instead! awesome day.....

ment a non p&l revision, they seem to have given up on that one. took multiple planners and probably thousands of man hours to work out that theres not enough space for the vans!R@YAL F@IL wrote:Little revisionGeorge door to dawes wrote:Had a shocker today 3.15pm finish. ......... George when this little revision is done it will NOT be little
honestly think it will be a small amount added. then prob more lapsing down the line! our dom is a crafty one but hes already enraged our rep so will be slowly screwed me thinks! whats sad is 95% of my DO just puts up with summer lapsing so its their own fault!

First day back... and I'm shattered.
Just under 4 and a quarter hrs. Plus 35 minute round trip for travelling.

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Our very DIM DOM has to be the laziest, inept, nastiest, piece of work yet. As a result of such a charmless nerk lording it over us, every feckin' day is like purgatory.
Why Royal Mail feel it's necessary to inflict these Dinosaurs from a bygone age on us, God alone knows.
But I'll tell you one thing that is sure and certain, it costs Royal Mail big time, believe me.
And all for the want of some respect, fair play, and the sort of dignity postal workers enjoyed not so long ago.
Still, suppose it means less money for shyte like revisions, so every cloud and all that, eh?

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
In the strictest of terms, today was my last day off. I've spent most of the week out biking. Seen a few posties from my office out and about, but seeing as they didn't know me I blended in, gave them as much abuse as possible, and was on my way
. Seriously though, did 18 miles on the bike on Thursday and 23 miles yesterday. Gave it a break today, will probably go for another 15 or so tomorrow. Have enjoyed the week off, but am not really dreading going back. It'll be alright.

Well, if they're anywhere as DIM as West London DOMs, they will never learn, and only carry on making the same mistakes over, and over, and over again. Then, just for good measure they will keep banging away trying to hammer that square peg into the round hole. w*****s.tolkien wrote:chaos , office failed yesterday big time![]()

, Dom decided to push it all out today , RESULT massive amounts of cut offs

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
A really light day mail wise and even packets. Bit heavy on the reg/rec's with 14 in total but thats tue's.
Just too hot today though and dispite drinking loads of water i still felt crap towards the end of the delivery. Finished by 1pm which is good for me. Came in and had a nice cool bath which made me feel better.
The air has cooled down now and iam in the summer house on the lappy with a cold Bud

Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

Busy yesterday. Plenty of packets and DSA. Absolutely scorching day. Gaffer had a spare bod today so he culled the walk. Much cooler and even got a spot of rain.

And the mail was quite heavy too, I did manage to finish on time but without taking any lapsing

Lightest day I can remember. Probably only a 60% call rate. Compensated for by the usual Tuesday tsunami of recordeds (17 today

This is deja vu really.
Not working today. Had to go and get my wifes car ; with a bill of £160... and then petrol needed.
But I went for a pint (and only a pint as I was driving) and put my change into the fruit machine.
Rsult .... £140
