Yeah it says.....

It invades our homes, dropping onto our doormats in its millions and costs the taxpayer a fortune to get rid of. It might be a menace in our mailbox but without junk mail, would our postal service survive? Panorama reporter Tom Heap asks whether junk mail is only good for one thing, burning it to heat his home, and investigates whether Royal Mail is addicted to the darker side of the letters business - scam mail.

Not another attack on the poor postie thankfully.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

I (we?) can only hope that the programme enlightens people about the opting out procedure. So many people moan about D2D, but then very few follow up the moan with actions to stop it, yet those few that do seem so much happier afterwards...

Do they?
Anyone really that bothered about some unwanted bits of paper dropping through their letterboxes will only find something else to focus on and moan about.

Heaven forbid that they should see that it keeps the money moving and people in jobs in these depressed times... :confused

I and I suspect Postman will agree with TMans last line. As posties its a pain in the arse having D2Ds to deliver, but they are a revenue stream and one we need to protect. All we need now is management to recognise that and give it their due attention - like giving us time in the work plan to do it. If they did I reckon return rates and compensation claims for non compliance with contract would drop dramatically.

Spot on Tman. :Very Happy When people used to moan to me about D2Ds I used to say, "It keeps me and the Re-cycling guy busy"! Now I tell them, "It keeps me and the Re-cycling guy in a job"! :arrrghhh

As for finding something else to moan about...They'll be OK once they're allowed to Operate the "Radar Guns" for speed traps, as local volunteers, once they lay off the traffic cops. A "Interfering Busy Body's" Charter.
