ROYAL MAIL SAMEDAY

Post by martella »

Hello fellow slaves, I have just been on Royal Mails Sameday website. They are advertising for self employed couriers to deliver urgent packages. You have to have your own van and cover all expenses like insurance and fuel. I am tempted to jump ship before Royal Mail sinks. No more walking for hours in the rain and trying to do an impossible job. Does anyone do this now? If so how much can you earn after all your costs?

i looked into it a few years back... but the problem with it (at that time atleast) was that you had to be set up to handle your own work as the "Sameday" service wouldnt provide you a set ammount of work per day/week/month... meaning you would have to make sure you had access to other courier work to keep you going...

fair enough it wouldnt be much of an issue if you were doing it and kept busy...
if you are wanting to go down that sort of route... i'd look at the "Parcelforce" owner/driver set up... you would probably be more likely to have a constant stream of work... rather than the here and there fill in jobs from RM Sameday...
