I think alot of managers know they are on borrowed time. Cluster DOMS are seen as the way forward, with 1 manager responsible for a number of offices, depending on size. A postie will get a few quid, leadership allowance i think its called, to sort out the general running of the office (as we all know most can run themselves anyway) and report any problems to the DOM.

No bonuses for managers in our sector and no sympathy from us since we have not been paid our bonus for the revision implemented months ago

Re: Managers bonus - next week!!
The above seems to true in my office. Three managers have been reverted to uniform with an outsider from an another brought in to replace them & work under the dom. Everyone is gutted for them, they were ok & two were only made up around 18 months. Thing is the real bullyboy manager, is un affected he moved to another office a year ago. Thats the way it seems, he knew how 2 work the systemEdward Hunter wrote:I think alot of managers know they are on borrowed time. Re: managers bonuses
The Managers Bonus Scheme pays out at the end of the month and we have all had the letters telling us what we got, if you can have a look at the Royal Mail intranet site there is a word document setting out the different targets for Managers in different functions to be achieved to get a percentage of the maximum 12.5% bonus pot (10% of gross and 2.5% stretch).
I work for Royal Mail Group and got 3.74% as a bonus, ended up taking home £860 more than normal. I've spoken to a few Managers in Ops and I haven't heard of anyone getting anything big, several I spoke to got nothing if their areas didn't make budget and QoS standards.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Managers bonus - next week!!
A managers bonus is - as the last post said up to 10% of pay....
but only if you hit all your targets . I was told even things like a poor "have your say" result
can reduce it
If so.. very few full bonus amounts will be paid out.

Royal Mail managers.....about as popular as a t.urd in a swimming pool!
The DDA/Equality Act demands action,NOT words......adjustments NOT Occupational Health referrals.Case No:2505901/09
Royal Mail is an Equal Opportunities Employer..It discriminates against everybody.

You are absolutely right General, God knows why they are moaning, the solution is simple..............become a manager and voila, bonus.........stay a postman and hey presto, the shares become worthless, the pay rises risible, revision monies late or not at all and all negotiated by the CWU

Re: Managers bonus - next week!!
My gaffer has been harping on about his bonus since Monday and is complaining how much tax he has paid. Reckons he got £1000 before tax.
