My Round
There are 487 on my round, I dont use a bike I just walk it, I put my round into 7 bags all the time no matter how light they are, I leave 4 bags in a fellow posties house, and my other 2 bags in a butty shop where I start my round, I have written down an order to do it so at the end of every bag I am right near where my bags are being kept so I dont lose any time walking about, when I'm in the van on my way up I write out the 739 cards for any recorded's/specials I have so just in case they are not in they are already written so I dont lose any time standing about trying to write them in the rain, tweak your round if needs be, if you think the way you are doing it now could be made easier then change it to suit you, thats what I did after a few weeks, and it really made a difference.

How was my day?
Estate agent letters for every sodding house or flat. In fact an average of five per letterbox... sorry not flat "maisonette" as they said on them and no A or B just things like "bst and raised grnd floor maisonette"... and a different one to the same estayte agent letter I had the same number of on f***ing tuesday... and it was raining... and my landlord is an arsehole. I feel slightly better now but I was having virtually suicidal thoughts at one stage. And what the f***ing f**k is a "raised ground floor flat" supposed to be when it's at home? Sometimes I fell like I've slipped into an alternative universe.

I had an easy week as it hasn't been busy.
Is it the same all over?

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Actually the secret at the moment is don't do it under 3 hours or they will add more on. Also don't go over 3hrs 30 mins unless you want to and then only if you claim OT.bertie wrote:Hi, JM1980 - How many houses are there on your round ?
