Thanks have done... still feel sick but spoke to a manager not connected with this and they said 'in not so many words' "be careful" if a manager wants you OUT its only a waiting game on their part. I think theres a lot more to whats happened and that pushing is going to make me RM target No1 not only with this (minor) manager but more powerful ones with more clout.

If your worried about any managers getting back at you try to get in a B&H form if you can depending on your situation. I was reading through the RM B&H guides on here and found a statement that said that any retaliation because of a B&H form from a manager is consider a huge no no and prehaps even a criminal offence. Might be worth checking the B&H guidelines as well and see if it will help protect you. Sounds serious so even if your unsure might be worth putting in a B&H as the worst they can do is throw it out at a later date.
i have seen plenty of posties not wearing correct uniform, white trainers and shorts for example. aint seen the manager get in2 one because of that, but as you know r.m are looking at any way they can to get rid of staff. go to cab and see what they suggest esp as you already said it could be a police matter. good luck and dont let him get to you
