What's a "drivers york". :whistle
This is where the clearly oversize packets go as the walking postie won't be able to deliver them.
The walking postie will then add "doublers" and any packet he feels won't fit in a given bag.
The driver will then return packets to the walking postie he doesn't want to do (flats, one-way streets, known houses with dangerous dogs, anyone they don't think will be in) resulting in unbridled levels of animosity between the two.
Isn't this the agreed procedure in all DOs?
Yes, except that some drivers find the walkers bags before they have been taken out, and stuff packets in, often the wrong bag.

All the shared vans in our office use a york to transport the delivery out to the van, and yes the bags are smaller, because the trolley is only good for 32kg.

So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets
