If it's anything like the notice board in OUR office - it'll go up AFTER the decision has been made, and there's nothing we can do about it...
And after a while, you can work on points for style,
Like the club tie, and the firm handshake,
A certain look in the eye and an easy smile.

You have to be trusted by the people that you lie to,
So that when they turn their backs on you,
You'll get the chance to put the knife in.

I guess Dingo will be on soonish with the latest,in the mean time...
north london driver wrote:i can now understand why their is resentment against london postal workers from
all over the country.
the M.L.O staff voted for industrial action agaist the closures.
for the last few weeks offices in london have been waiting for a ballot over the m.l.o closures
and that we must back these offices that would be shut down as we would be next for redundancies.
so once again we were all getting ready for industrial action and to back our fellow members.

an agreement or part agreement was reached on thursday evening, london area reps then had a meeting
on monday then for tuesday the M.L.O. staff would be told in what had happened.
yet the staff at all the other offices in london do not have a clue whats going on.
but if there would have been no agreement made, we would all in london had union meetings this morning
to be told we would be all out by july.

so at the moment the majority of london postal workers still dont know what is going on.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

From Dingo tonight...
But on Monday the London divisional committee agreed to unanimously recommend the agreement to their Branch committees ! Today those Branch Commiittees unanimously endorsed the joint statement.

There is an embargo till tomorrow morning on comms but all will be revealed tommorrow and today the PEC unamiously endorsed the agreement !

H.Q. briefed us all and told us to get the message out that it was not a london issue it would effect the rest of the country, now i can understand the need for the staff that are threatened with closures and losing their jobs to be told first but the message needs to get out to all divi, branch and area reps outwith the london areas as soon as the staff faced with closure have been told so that we can cascade the decision to all our members because the last thing london needs on top of all that is going on is for the rest of the country to be left in the dark as this will only drive R.M. message of it being a london issue, keep us informed and the reasoning behind reaching the hopefuly satisfactory decision, we will always support any colleagues who are threatened with compulsory redundancies because if it happens in london you can be guaranteed it will soon sweep throughout the rest of the country, keep faith london brothers and sisters.
