General update

Normal deliveries and collections should be taking place in almost all parts of the country today.

Delivery services are returning to normal in the KA1-4 & KA16-17 postcode areas, following yesterday’s disruption to service at the Kilmarnock Delivery Office. Deliveries today may be made at a slightly different time from normal.
Operational modernisation

We're investing £2 billion in modernising our business, to maintain a reliable and effective service to you. Find out more about our modernisation programme by visiting: http://www.royalmail.com/modernisation" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

International mail services

Mail services to Canada suspended
Canada has suspended all mail operations across the country.

Mail sent since Friday 10th June may not have been delivered and any mail currently in the Royal Mail system is being retained until clearance is given that it can be accepted for delivery. This also means that mail handled by Canada Post bound for the UK will not be despatched at present.

Because of this suspension of operations by Canada Post, Royal Mail has no choice but to cease accepting items destined for Canada as of yesterday, 16th June. Ordinary items cannot be accepted at Post Offices from today. Customers are able to use Parcelforce Worldwide to send items to Canada; for urgent items, customers are advised to use Parcelforce Worldwide's Global Express service. These services are available by going to: http://www.parcelforce.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

You can find out more details about the situation at http://www.canadapost.ca" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

We will provide further updates as soon as the situation changes or more information is received.

Most international mail is moving into and out of the UK as is normal for this time of year. Further information can be found on our international pages at: http://www.royalmail.com/international/updates" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.
