Re: London Dispute Update
Well you'd be amazed at how they arrive at that figure DGP, someone once explained, and I don't know if it was on here, how the monies are disbursed between MCs, Distribution and Deliveries.......................I forget the exactitude but everyone else did particularly well except deliveries.DGP1 wrote:Yes and no, RM as a whole made £36m but letters lost £120m, so it's the letters division that will that the brunt of the attacks now.woofwoof wrote:DGP1 wrote:I wonder what the news of the losses will have on the meetings?

Re: London Dispute Update
Thanks Belle on quoting me on my past posts. The past posts are quite selective in that Other posts have been about major change in our current structure in our trade union. Yes I did promote the agreement because I saw :Why should we trust you?
crap management
s**t branches
Now lets look at where I am in revision activity,(cos its sooooo yummy!).
The six stages of FULL walk sequenced and delivery methods : (Stage 0)
The full 7 stages of collections revision activity : Stage 0
Cannot move on anything as the management are crap, the directors are bullies and we are not motivated. The divisional of the union? not that impressed so I will do whats right for US. If your branch/division have moved on a revision that you do not agree with then perhaps you bang out all the emails you can. Bang out all the letters you can. Promote all your branch AGM's that you can, making sure all your members attend. Try and change the structure within. It's bloody hard work but pro-active is better then re-active.

Re: London Dispute Update
thats not to bad to only lose 120million.
if royal mail would have put in all their revisions on delivery i dread to think how much we would
have lost. but if they royal mail still are hell bent in doing revisions and losing customers due to the fact
every other mail company can deliver before us, due to our delivieries being made later due to start times
being changed.also tossers in delivery offices who suck up to planning managers and agreeing with cuts and
excepting absorbtions.
as for moya go and sort out your own postal service in canada your not wanted here.

Re: London Dispute Update
Of course the journey time from Crewe to Warrington is a concern. An 80 mile return journey but due to the public transport system in London and the congestion in London it will take often longer to travell 15 miles in London then it does 40 miles on a motorway.
Now lets get this right the union in the North East argued about Hull and thats why the clousre has been put back to 2015 with various tests to be passed before they can close Hull including the resolution of people.
Now may be if London could get something similar to what Hull got that would be the basis of a solution.

Re: London Dispute Update
So Hull managed to argue their case as a stand alone, without demanding the rest of the members fight their case for them. My daughter lives in Cheshire, not too far from Warrington and the traffic situation is far from rosy, bearing in mind that Runcorn Bridge is a notorious bottleneck often causing delays, or congestion as you call it.dingo wrote:Of course the journey time from Crewe to Warrington is a concern. Re: London Dispute Update
No Dvbuk the mail centre closure reviews are regional reviews and the Whole
Of the North East argued for Hull to be extended and if Royal Mail had disagreed then there would possibly been a ballot because they would have been compulsory redundancies ! Instead they now have an agreed people's plan which will not compell anyone to have to go to leeds or Sheffield.

Re: London Dispute Update
Well we all know what value RM place on agreements. However the North East argued its own case without involving the whole of the membership, in fact there has only been discussion in the light of the recent review in London. At the end of the day it is merely delaying the inevitable, which over time could well be worse under privatisation, certain to be before the next election.dingo wrote:No Dvbuk the mail centre closure reviews are regional reviews and the Whole

Re: London Dispute Update
So reminiscent of the last talks, delay, delay, delay - still it did end up with the deal of the century, which like the thousand year Reich, fell far short of expectation.fishtank wrote:So tomorrow is friday.dingo wrote:Royal Mail have extended the ballot notice period till next Friday in order for talks to continue.![]()

How about a poll.......................I'd plump for (A), which means the talks on "other business" will be delayed again
