No £600 More broken agreements

We in the KT postcode area have just found out that we will not be getting the £600 for walk sequence ,or any other parts of the pay deal,now RM are saying more jobs to go,you are lucky to have a job with us.funny how the top people seem to be getting over a million each from a company that is in its death throws.jupiters cock,how can you trust people like that.

waited 8 months for first £200 ,told no 600, not surprised, after all we all got a good shafting over the colleague shares.So it should be no surprise to get another one, If other areas get the money,good luck to them.

I'm a Kt/Tw postman ( well at the moment I am ). I'm not surprised about the £600, as it took me ages to get the £200 for the staff in my old office.


If it's your Area Union Rep dealing with the greivence, then don't hold your breath.

lodge your own Greivence, and in fact go straight to Stage 2, and bypass your Dom and Dsm.

Managers in Kt/Tw Area are on the whole aggressive and Bullies, and as far as i'm concerned, this has been overlooked for too long by our Union Leaders, and thats at the top level, but more to the point at area level.

And lets not forget that the Kt/Tw Branch pushed for a YES vote when the ballot came out for BT2010.

Lets see where they are now, with all the lads and lasses NOT getting their £600.

Just a few points:

From the BT2010 agreement - Page 71 - Annex C

Lump Sums
The payment of £1,000 (pro rata for part time employees) consisting of 3 lump sums will be paid as follows.
£200 will be paid to everyone in the delivery unit on deployment of their first non walk sequencing revision.
£600 will be paid to everyone in the delivery unit on deployment of the walk sequencing revision.
£200 will be paid to everyone in the delivery unit when the Walk Sequencing revision has been implemented, and objectives achieved in line with the local agreement and no later than the end of the 6 week bedding in period.

So

@Flyingsam - you should be expecting £600 and £200 a maximum of 6 weeks later not just £600 and as long as you have had a walk sequencing revision you get it, no ifs no buts. Dont confuse getting walk sequenced mail with having a revision though they are different.

@blade8t1 - there is no £400 lump sum in the agreement so not sure what your refering to - unless its the £600 one for 30hr contracts which would be £400 if they did no overtime during the qualifying period.

@lovemoney - its not £800 in one go - its £600 then 6 weeks later (maximum) another £200 - so dont spend it in one go.

@Hitcher P&L revision counts as a Non walk Sequencing revision (if not bundled together with walk sequencing being introduced) and would attract a £200 payment.

@taffie - the 39 hour SWW is written into the agreement so they can't refuse it - PT timers get a pay rise to offset it so unless they want posties in different areas getting paid different amounts for doing the same job they HAVE to give you it.
