It won't be long-termers who get the redundancy, that costs too much.
It will be staff just in the door who will be shed.

Re: Royal Mail boss: We are bust
Our office East London Mail Centre is handling 40,000 more packets a night compared to 12 months ago so its aload of bollocks saying mail volumes are down speak to any postman doing a walk in east or north london I don't think they will agree.watdeadlyone wrote:Wish us posties could see a 20% drop in the mail we are delivering each week. Our office figures for last year showes a 0.05% drop in the year(only 16000 less delivered than last year)
Someones cooking the books Moya and it`s not the posties
And these figures are what the managers are saying not the postman.
Wake up and smell the coffee Moya someone is feeding you aload of s**t ?

What kind of leader comes out and states these kind of facts, it beggars belief that she can call herself a leader at all, so when she picks her hefty pay packet up each month she must have a grin from ear to ear then checks out the calendar to count down the days for when she returns home to Canada which in a way is like some of our colleagues counting down the days when they will be kicked out of a job whose leader is nothing more than a loser.

The Canadian tore into UK regulator Postcomm - saying the amount of red-tape faced by Royal Mail was unheard of anywhere in the world.
She added that unless Postcomm allowed Royal Mail to compete more effectively with rivals such as TNT and UK MAIL the situation would only get worse.
And you think we hav'nt been aware of that for years

Im no company executive but even I can see that when a firm is forced to do its competitors work for them at a loss it will end up in the s**t!!! That and having its senior managers all dipping their snouts into the trough and taking what they can while they can!!!

Re: Royal Mail boss: We are bust
So Green, Higson, Tolson and cronies have made a right feck up of the jobs they are extemely well paid to do. And they still let postcon get away with DSA fleecing regulations. Higson is no more than a bully boy and totally incompetent at managing anything. Moya, foolishly, believes whatever Higson tells her.
We are employed as OPG's etc to get the paying customers' mail dealt with, and we do the best we can for them in very difficult circumstances. But, Green & co are employed to wreck this company to make it ripe for privatisation. We are left with worse customer serice, no future for us, but bonuses all round for the goomers at the top and the waste of money and resources that laughably calls itself Royal Mail "management".
So we are left with a national postal service that cares not one jot for it's customers, even less about it's employees, but exists solely as a gravy train for layers and layers of management. As surreal as it is scandalous.
(P.S.- WTLL today consisted of telling us the average weight of a packet in the postal system. A more useless fact I have never heard. How much money was wasted on that little excersise ??)

Because they want to shut your MC,they are giving you work and overtime to keep you happy and quite. Not a bean of overtime at Mount Pleasant and not much work to financially force people to leave or transfer.spurs1959 wrote:Our office East London Mail Centre is handling 40,000 more packets a night compared to 12 months ago so its aload of bollocks saying mail volumes are down speak to any postman doing a walk in east or north london I don't think they will agree.watdeadlyone wrote:Wish us posties could see a 20% drop in the mail we are delivering each week. Re: Royal Mail boss: We are bust
Reading through this forum there are some really backward people...Why would we want to call a strike the Union f**ked up the last one and we still have the same idiots in charge. R.M. or the Goverment got rid of theirs.Leighton and Crozier. If you research Moya Greene you will see that she did exactly the same in Canada...
Why is this a surprise. People need to retrieve their heads from their arse and recognise its not just R.M. in the crap its the country. :dcfo :ncfo :vcfo
