Hopefully something should come out this week to give us a hint.

If the CWU start talking about strikes it will be bad news.

If nothing at all comes out then it could go either way.

If we get a hang in there type brief from the top it could be a good deal.

But we need them to communicate to us pretty soon or we are going to loose a lot of support from those who were teetering about crossing the pickets. Saturday should be interesting if ROMEC start picket lines.

Here's hoping madelin..i hate being the pessimist but i,m not holding my breath ..i still think this was a stalling tactic designed at bringing the strikes so close to xmas that resolve would wither in the face of the festive period and encourage more workers to break..I hope i'm wrong though..truly i do :pray :pray :pray :pray

Pistol......We must be drinking from the same glass, because like you i DONT think the union will get a result from the talks with Royal Mail,AL & AC have been told "its your ball game and do what you want,if it meens the demise of RM as a bussiness/service so be it" they'll still be rolling in money,so why should they give a sh1te about the workers or the customers.

Like you i hope i am wrong, the door is shut tight at the point wherever the talks are being held, not even a whisper of which way its swinging.

i think were in the sh it guys royal mail have stalled long enough for the cwu to lose momentum and like mentioned on a previous post xmas is coming and the guys will start to break down the closer it gets to xmas if we go back to the strikes which i think we will the only option left open for us is an all outer , if we ar se about with one dayers and rolling action xmas just keeps gettin closer

ROLLIN ACTION UP TO CHRISTMAS WOULD KILL RM. DELAY IN THE XMAS MAIL. LATE PACKET DELIVERIES. THE PUBLIC USING COURIERS. LOSS OF REVENUE FOR RM WHEN THEY MAKE THEIR BIGGEST PROFIT.
A WORK TO RULE AT THE SAME TIME WOULD HIT EM EVEN HARDER.
REMEMBER, IT WAS RM WHO FACILITATED THESE TALKS BY GOING TO ACAS, THE GOVERNMENT AND THE TUC

What we need is a ballot to accept/reject whatever is on the table from RM!

Its our decision to make not the CWU postal excutive.

If they want to recomend rejection then thats fine, but please let the CWU membership decide the next move after the 4th!

Problem is..like i stated previously, most of the less militant offices will lose support,if we are to cripple R.M we must get numbers on the line..that close to xmas it will be difficult if not impossible to get everyone out again..

I CANNOT SEE IMHO HOW ROYAL FAILED WILL RELENT ON ALL ISSUES.
WHAT ISSUES WILL THEY EXPECT US TO EXCEPT?
THE UPPER UNION MIGHT COME BACK TO US WITH A PROPOSAL FROM RM AND THEMSELVES BUT IF WE DON'T LIKE IT
WE CAN TELL BOTH NO WAY AND VOTE AGAINST.
THE UNION IS OBLIGED TO AGREE TO SOMETHING AND SHOW IT'S MEMBERS-----THE MEMBERS DON'T!!!!
WE HAVE THE VOTE!!!!!
