people who arrive early, what on earth for and go over their time and claim no overtime, some part timers who dont like other full timers prepping the walk come in early as well to prep, its some loyalty thing.
why would people on long term sick look for another job, that is stupid.

One lad a few office's away got reported throwing d2d's in a supermarket recycle bin and was sacked for it.

My wife would also tell me where to go , so now I take them home for her to prep .

Why would you take D2D's home??? It is live mail and against the law!!! Prepping D2D is supposed to be included within your time.
Obviously, this cant be true if you are taking them home but you need to start cutting off if you dont have the time during your hours.

We have lots who come in early and stay out all day but there is 1 special one who will come in on his saturday off and prep the full frame of d2d then deliver all of em whether they have mail or not on the monday,he has come in on his holiday to be trained on a walk for 3 days for no pay, the round was a piece of piss , he was worried coz he had been on his previous round for 28 years and there was a re- sign coming up,when we had bikes he went round in his car,he wears his fleece and long trousers in the height of summer, we all laugh at him and he gives as good as he gets and is a nice bloke but has some very peculiar ways,in my office there are a lot of blokes who are in their 30's 40's and 50's that still live at home and don't seem to have much going on outside of work shame really

This story doesn't involve any cretins but has always made me chuckle.

A few years ago one of our posties was knocking on a door to deliver a packet to a dottery old ex Reverend,he could see him through the glass of the door coming to answer before stumbling and taking a nasty fall,he didn't reappear but was able to call out and the postie managed to hold a brief conversation with him through the letterbox,unfortunately old Rev couldn't make it to the door and was breathing somewhat erratically. Postie knocked on the neighbours door to get help and luckily the neighbour had a key and was able to get into the house,they soon had the old duffer sitting upright and an ambulance arrived shortly afterwards and took him away.

That left the postie and neighbour at the door with the latter congratulating RM'S finest on saving the day,it was only then that postie realises the packet was still lying on the doorstep so he picks it up to give to the neighbour but notices it's for two doors down and not for the hospital bound Rev at all..........he still took the plaudits for saving him though!

Ps...Rev made a full recovery!

Theres a guy in my office, a floater, who is banned from delivering to an address on one of his walks for sexually harrassing the daughter of the people who live there. The day hes on the walk the van driver takes the mail to the address. The girl (asian/eastern origin)foolishly gave him her number and he bombarded her with texts/calls. She was terrified by all accounts. A complaint was made to RM and he was hauled in the office and got away with it. Hes well into his fortys and likes oriental women, meets them online. He sent the plane fare to one for her to come to UK and she promptly disappeared with it. A very creepy guy.

He's probably embarrassed to wear it incase he's associated with the joke RM has now become . How politicians and Rm senior management can deliberalety run this once great service into the ground is beyond me . Mind you the shares , directors posts and huge pay rises for senior management have to be dished out yet .
