A crown court judge has been arrested after a man reported that he had been bitten by a dog.
Beatrice Bolton, 57, was later bailed following the alleged incident near Rothbury in Northumberland.
Northumbria Police said inquiries were ongoing and two dogs had been removed "to assure public safety".
In December, Judge Bolton swore and stormed out of court when convicted of failing to keep her German shepherd under control. She was fined £2,500.
Magistrates in Carlisle heard that her neighbour's son had been attacked as he sunbathed in the shared garden.
Since her conviction, she has not sat at Newcastle Crown Court.
In April, the Royal Mail suspended deliveries to her home and those of two neighbours in Whitton, near Rothbury, after a postman was treated for a bite to his leg.
The Crown Prosecution Service is deciding whether any charges should be brought.
In relation to the most recent incident, a Northumbria Police spokeswoman said: "On 1 June, police received a report that a 22-year-old man had been bitten in the leg by a dog while walking in the Whitton Bank area of Rothbury.
"Inquiries are ongoing and police have arrested a 57-year-old woman in connection with the incident. She has since been bailed.
"Police have taken action to assure public safety and these dogs have been removed."

A LEADING judge has been arrested after her dog allegedly attacked a third victim within a year.
Judge Beatrice Bolton was taken into custody and questioned by police after a 22-year-old man was bitten in the leg by a dog near her Northumberland home.
Judge Bolton is already being investigated by police after a postman was allegedly attacked near her house in April.
The arrest comes just six months after she was convicted of failing to control her German Shepherd, which attacked a neighbour 12 months ago.
Judge Bolton’s two German Shepherd dogs have now been seized by police “to assure public safety”.
Royal Mail has also suspended deliveries to the judge’s house and two of her neighbours because of fears over the safety of its postal staff.
Police were called on Wednesday last week after a man reported he had been attacked by a dog while walking in the Whitton Bank area of Rothbury, where the judge lives.
Judge Bolton, 57, was arrested and questioned the same day before being released on police bail.
Police were already waiting to hear back from the Crown Prosecution Service to see if any charges will be brought for an alleged attack on the postman in April.
A police source told The Journal: “Beatrice Bolton was taken to Alnwick Police Station for questioning after the report. We will now continue our investigation to see if there will be any charges brought.
“Due to the history of the dogs accused, the decision was taken to seize her dogs for the protection of the public.”
udge Bolton is not currently sitting at Newcastle Crown Court as she is subject to a separate investigation by the Office for Judicial Complaints following her conviction in December.
The judge swore and stormed out of court after a District Judge returned a guilty verdict following a two-day trial at Carlisle Magistrates’ Court. Following the verdict, she stormed out of court and branded the decision “a f***ing travesty”.
Police were called in May last year when Judge Bolton’s pet dog, a seven-month-old bitch named Georgina, sank her teeth into her neighbour Frederick Becker’s left leg as he was sunbathing.
On April 9 this year, police were called after postman Kenneth Auld claimed he was bitten in the leg by a dog while delivering post near to Judge Bolton’s house.
Mr Auld, 52, from Morpeth, received treatment in hospital for an injury to his leg and spent a week off work.
A Northumbria Police spokeswoman said last night: “At 1.20pm on Wednesday, June 1, police received a report that a 22-year-old man had been bitten in the leg by a dog while walking in the Whitton Bank area of Rothbury.
“Inquiries are ongoing and police have arrested a 57-year-old woman in connection with the incident. She has since been bailed.

Judge's dog has own Facebook page

A judge's dog which has been seized by police after three alleged attacks now has its own Facebook page.
A photo of Judge Beatrice Bolton's pet Georgina appears on the social networking site, along with the message "I am a very beautiful German shepherd dog looking for friends both GSDs and humans".
Northumbria Police took Georgina and another dog into custody "to assure public protection" following a third allegation of an attack within a year near the judge's home outside Rothbury, Northumberland.
In December, she stormed out of Carlisle Magistrates' Court after she was convicted of failing to control her dog after it attacked her neighbour's sunbathing son.
She branded the decision a "f****** travesty" and has not sat at Newcastle Crown Court since.
In April the Royal Mail suspended deliveries to her home and neighbouring addresses after a postman was bitten. Judge Bolton was arrested and questioned by police.
She was held again after a 22-year-old was allegedly attacked on June 1 near her home.
On the Facebook site, the dog's favourite quotations were said to be "Woof", "I'm hungry" and "It wasn't me who stole your slipper".
The site, in the name Georgina Elizabeth Woodcock, claimed her status is "In a relationship" and she has 19 Facebook friends.
The Facebook page was set up months before Georgina attacked the sunbathing neighbour at the end of May last year.
