Re: Annua leave rota
We have a manager, an assistant manager, one FS, 7 full timers and 3 part timers who all do approx 28 hours. Two are allowed off at any one time although I don't think the managers get involved and they can be off too. It is pretty much first come, first served. Nearly all the staff are over 50 apart from the managers and FS so none of us really bothered about school holidays. We all seem pretty happy with this system and are all usually flexible to help colleagues with special events.

Our staffing is close to yours, i would say 2 people you should have a full and part-time leave reserve to cover 2 clerks. The managers don't come into the rota they pick whenever they want.(what a surprise) the majority in our office want the school holidays we have 6 clerks off for 2 weeks in the kids hols 2 clerks for each fortnight, sometimes we do clash so we try and help each other out otherwise you would have to have a rota as stated in the COSA if you can't all agree.juless wrote:Annual leave rota - What system does everyone use to choose their annual leave and how many people can you have off at one time?

9 staff at my place - 3 management, 1 full time, 5 part time. First come, first served. No holidays in the 5 week lead up to Christmas. I don't allow more than one member of counter staff off at any time, management included. The only one I'll let off when anyone else is off is my mail sorting guy who only works a couple of hours a day.

If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.
