I makes me laugh that the driver then has two minutes to ring the office and say they are alright. At the best of times, it takes ages to get through on the phone so what will happen then! Personally, I can not see them installing the panic buttons but I can see them installing the GPS as a target for more savings!

For Delivery walkers there is a new system starting when the new routes come in, you are put on the scales on Monday morning first thing and again on Friday at close of play - if you've put any weight on your either sacked, suspended or more work put on the delivery according to the increase in weight.jafferpants wrote:THAT MITE AS WELL GIVE US POSTIE'S ONE WE f***ing CARRY EVERYTHING ELSE. THE BEST PLACE TO FIT ONE ON THE MANAGER'S WOULD BE A COFFEE CUP. IT NEVER LEAVES THIER HANDS.

The tracking devices go live at Cambridge DO on 1st October. Who will be the first to set off the panic button by mistake? At this office there are two obvious candidates (brothers) who are both as idiotic as each other. It will be one of them.
I'm a Postman at the Henley Road Delivery Office in Cambridge.

Cant believe the CWU is letting them do this, surely its against your human rights, RM are telling us theres no more money and yet they buy plasma TVs for every office and tracking systems for vans, last December i asked uniform for a pair of waterproof leggings, and was told only high vis jackets and safety boots could be ordered until end of January, only at RM can this crap happen, save pennys and waste pounds...UNITY IS STRENGTH.
