I dont think so, we just had it very easy for a long time and now it seems to have evolved totally the other way, whereby alot of offices have had revisions that have given them unrealistic workloads. Crozier said all he wanted was for us to work our time. Not an unreasonable request really. Obviously without the carrot of an early finish, people work at a more steady pace. For a workforce weaned on job and knock its a shock, but in the long run its better for your health not to be tear arsing around. IMO one of the unions biggest responsibilities now is to stop managerial bullying on people that cant complete the new unreasonable deliveries. If they can do that, then a fair days work for a fair days pay is fine by me.

Members are still starting early, running out the door early with bags when trolleys are provided, skipping meal breaks and pretending to themselves that it's still job&finish because they might "make" 30 minutes.
I stand by my statement.... :cuppa

I second that emotion.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

He is a troll ignore him. From memory he has applied for a job, he was been with us 4 months, he doesn't work for Royal Mail, and he's waiting to start.

Cant even keep his story straight best ignored, just like others of his ilk he'll give us enough rope.

Im quite new to Rm 2 and a half years, i think the problem with this company is so deep it will never be fixed under its present guise, i have read many posts about how RM is doomed and would tend to agree, 1.once a postie always one, work till you drop attitude is rife,2. middle managment recruited via graduate will never work in this business as it is, 3. Managment and workers have a different interest. 4. long term rm workers have issues with new PT workers coming in (who can blame them)5. The union has been broken and there is no confidence in there word, the list gos on, get the ground floor workers more involved and give them something to work for as they are the ones keeping this sinking ship going unless maybe moya knows something we dont........

You know how there's always someone in your office who bites at every wind-up? I'm guessing it must be you mate. have a look at gremah's post history, every one's a wind-up. Don't give him the satisfaction in future.

Aye there's a lot of managers on here mate. Personally i feel sorry for them. Imagine being 90 yrs old on your deathbed and looking back over your life and career as a Royal Mail manager. Knowing you're facing an infinity of nothingness and that's what you did with your one and only life.
