I was also hugely surprised how many customers mentioned or alluded to "your lucky to HAVE a job mate!" during the last set of strikes.... wonder what it will be like this time if we/you* go out?

IIRC Rathbone place deliveries were included in the ballot. I think they are a dual function unit.

On a ballot that was of paramount importance to London such a small take up of the ballot is a worrying indication.......if the 46% who didn't vote don't support the action you've almost half the workforce in.

We as Union members never know whats going on, reps never tell you, they have their meetings and its all hush hush. Royal Mail are achieving what they want, divide and conquer and its working, on this site we are already saying i aint supporting London this is not only about London but everyones future in RMail, so lets stop bickering amongst ourselves and stand united.

There were two spoilt votes. and yes there were obviously people on leave. Also the ballot was only over 10 days. IA and most other ballots usually are over two or three weeks. Who can say why people don't use their vote - only those people I guess. Management wouldn't allow meetings on site, and did their best to get people to vote No.
But most members abide by ballot decisions whether they voted or not.
