DAF, what % approx of docks at MCs you visit have been modified to accept the double stackers?

weve had a fair bit of trouble with agency drivers not knowing how to dock/undock from the bays,and also knackering the doors on the bays....

they all vary - most MCs I go to have at least 2 that can take a double decker...... all the way up to NDC in Northampton that has I think 100 bays that can take anything from a 7.5 tonner to a 92 double deck

How many loading docks have you got there and how many of them have been modified to be able to accept double stackers?

Not my area mate,but there are 12 docks,and the driver i spoke to said they can all take double deckers,but not sure on that?

Poor Fella, not a good day for him. :-(

In all fairness when you use one of the 92's for the first time, you tend to forget about the height being an issue. Good rule of thumb is to stick to the major trunk roads. I discovered this by trying to nip around the north to south circular,heading for the M4 from PRDC to Tonbridge MC. Only to discover a 14' 6' rail bridge on the Mortlake Road which is where the North swaps to the South Circular. In a normal single decker I would have had no dramas but with having the 16' 2' double decker I was in a world of hurt. Luckily it was a Sunday morning and the roads where empty so I was able to reverse the trailer up a side street before the bridge and turn around.
