world class special leave A

Post by onthestella »

just a question for our colleagues in Cardiff and Bristol. Any truth in the rumour that the majority of accidents in the said offices attract paid leave instead of being recored as Accidents and RIDDOR's.

I can't say anything directly about Bristol/Cardiff but would it really come as a surprise that they are doing something like this to preserve facts/figures for when the professor pays them a visit?

If thats true them someone is skating on extremely thin ice:
The Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 1995 (RIDDOR), place a legal duty on:

employers;
self-employed people;
people in control of premises;

to report work-related deaths, major injuries or over-three-day injuries, work related diseases, and dangerous occurrences (near miss accidents).

It wouldn't surprise me one bit, sure every accident now is being classed an incident to try and protect their wcm records. Committed to H&S my arse.

I thought we weren't involved any more.
I thought we had withdrawn our pillars and the roof had caved in...
Why anyone would sign up to a cost cutting exercise dressed in shiny new clothes is beyond my comprehension anyway.
Call themselves union members....i don't. :cuppa

Still full steam ahead at our place.I spoke to a few who are in on the wcm bandwagon.Most said either "easy docket,money for drawing primary school type diagrams/charts",or "its better than working for a living".
I dare say that the shift managers from ALL 3 SHIFT's,are of the same mind....

RM are broke,but can keep paying all these senoir managers wages,while at the same time paying ANOTHER 3 to cover them,not to mention all the minor managers/opgs.It's beyond a joke...
same as it ever was...
