Buying a computer through work

Post by Beforenineoclockgoodone »

If any one else did this, can you please tell me what kind of deal you got at the end of the 3 years, did they come & get it or were you offered a final price & the computer was yours, as my three years is up soon? Thanks

Dont use Norton its a memory Hog and it does not update itself quick enough for the "in the wild" viruses.

I used Norton 4 years ago and after getting hit with 5 viruses and trojans I binned it.

I would recommend Avast: http://www.avast.com/ for a free scanner

and Zone Alarm for the full security package http://www.zonealarm.com/store/content/ ... US&lang=en
There used to be a free version of Zone Alarm as well but dont have link for it.

or

kaspersky for a paid one with all singing dancing firewall etc http://www.kaspersky.com/downloads

And you can always upgrade to AVG paid for edition, but thats proably best if use your PC for work purposes rather than leisure.

Norton is crap I've just spent the last few hours trying to remove trojans/spyware/malware from my computer. I only hope it's gone now (had to use Ad-Aware fingers crossed). :mad :mad
