Oh I don't know savo, it doesn't appear to be the deal of the century anymore. As for agreements, well firstly you need to understand what the words mean and then you need both sides to adhere to it, if neither of those things apply..............is it an agreement?savo wrote:same old, same old

Re: quote of the decade
Dingo, you are away with the fairies!!! have you ever worked in delivery? 18 months down the line and you still keep harping on about this agreement and we are better off than without it,absolute crap, you need to join the real world and spend some time in a delivery office, the job was going tits up before the agreement now its absolutely hit rock bottom,i'd love to find out how many people in delivery actually agree with you!! i for one know that my workload as TREBLED,terms and conditions no better than before, and definately no better off financially, the next time the union negotiate anything forget the carrots, just legitimate wage rises and proper overtime rates!!!! please.

You don't get paid £20.60 to deliver D2D.Dumpys Rusty Nuts wrote:£20.60 for delivering 4,5,6 lots of households per week,
It is a Delivery Supplement not a D2D supplement.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Re: quote of the decade
You're right clash, if he's part time he only gets a pro rata payment not £20.60 but he still has to do the delivery in entirety including the D2D, whatever guise it comes under.clashcityrocker wrote:You don't get paid £20.60 to deliver D2D.Dumpys Rusty Nuts wrote:£20.60 for delivering 4,5,6 lots of households per week,

Re: quote of the decade
It doesn't matter how often you peddle this misinformation the fact remains we no longer have a unit payment for D2D.
We do have a 51p/hr delivery supplement.
This means if you work 40hrs you get £20.60 (£20.89 now) and if you work 20hrs you get £10.30.
Just as if you work 40hrs you get £359.52 top line.
If you work 20hrs you don't. It isn't rocket science.

Well as a delivery supplement, it is a failure, because as part timer he will do the whole delivery.clashcityrocker wrote:It doesn't matter how often you peddle this misinformation the fact remains we no longer have a unit payment for D2D.

But its not based on duty - its based on function thats why indoor duties within a DO get it.dvbuk55 wrote:Well as a delivery supplement, it is a failure, because as part timer he will do the whole delivery.clashcityrocker wrote:It doesn't matter how often you peddle this misinformation the fact remains we no longer have a unit payment for D2D.

Re: quote of the decade
Well let me rephrase that - as a delivery supplement it is a failure..........it has nothing to do with delivery............it is associated with location and nothing to do with the delivery function and most people lost money in deliveriesTrueBlueTerrier wrote:But its not based on duty - its based on function thats why indoor duties within a DO get it.dvbuk55 wrote:Well as a delivery supplement, it is a failure, because as part timer he will do the whole delivery.clashcityrocker wrote:It doesn't matter how often you peddle this misinformation the fact remains we no longer have a unit payment for D2D.

50,000 didn't vote at all and those who voted for were blatantly coerced into doing so on the advice of biased union opinion.............wonder what the delivery staff will vote on the next ballot............with or without a roadshow.clashcityrocker wrote:Yet people in delivery voted to accept it.dvbuk55 wrote: and most people lost money in deliveries

Re: quote of the decade
The peddling of misinformation is not surprising really when senior officials pick and choose when to tie the delivery supplement to the delivery of D2D.clashcityrocker wrote:It doesn't matter how often you peddle this misinformation the fact remains we no longer have a unit payment for D2D.
all members in delivery received a £20.60 weekly delivery supplement which is a permanent addition to basic pay and increases in time with pay rises in future years. This was despite the fact Royal Mail wanted delivery staff to deliver door to door items without any form of payment.
http://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communit ... 59#p387294" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Now which is it?
Is it a direct replacement for the D2D payment in which case the members rightly or wrongly see it as a D2D supplement...and always will.
Or does it have nothing to do with D2D in which case HQ managed to deliver exactly what Royal Mail wanted namely....delivery staff to deliver door to door items without any form of payment.
It would appear that some posters would like to have their cake and eat it.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share
