FIRST STAGE BACKDATED

I work in supply chain and returned to work after a 7 week absence with tendon trouble. After two days short of a month back, I was up getting a first stage interview on 18th May and on 19th May, I was given a first stage. Whether I had judge judy or any other lawyer or solicitor acting on my behalf, the first stage was coming because gone are the days of getting off with first stages as Royal Mail want to nail as many people as possible for sicknesses and there are few and far between people getting away with first stages. That said, how come I have now got the six month syndrome about 3 absences etc. starting from the day of my interview on 18th May. As I have already been back at work for a month before the interview, surely the six month should start from the day I started back at work and that would mean that I only had five months to serve on the first stager. With the manager giving me his verdict one month after I had returned to work, then that makes it seven months sentence. How does it always work in their favour. Am I right or does anyone have some information to give me or maybe they have been in the same position and never thought about what I have just wrote. THE FIRST STAGE SHOULD BE DEEMED TO START FROM THE DATE THAT YOU START BACK AT WORK SURELY.

In letters it's the 1st day of the interview.The problem being that the interview could be had many weeks after returning to work.

We usually demand that the stage is backdated to...
The day of the interview if it's only say a week after returning from sick,or the 1st week from returning back if they take the piss with the interview.
