Hemel staffing
Anyone know when the new super-MC at Hemel Hemstead will be up and running ? I know the preference forms have been issued but what happens if RM don't get enough volunteers to take up VR ? What if they get too many volunteers ?

Re: Hemel staffing
Watford, Stevenage and the current (smaller) Hemel site are closing, but the Stevenage MC building will be retained and used as a delivery office, or so we were told

Re: Hemel staffing
Royal Mail has already tried this trick by closing Preston,Bolton,Crewe and Stockport Mail Centre's and transferring the work to Warrington and Manchester Mail Centre's. Now ,from what i've heard, both of these office's are failing.

Preston has not closed. Bolton, Crewe, Oldham, Stockport and Liverpool closed in the North West.

Re: Hemel staffing
The one2one's are in progress or may have even been finished now,as for the next stage, its a bit of a mystery.I have no idea what stage they are at yet with the building work and insatallation of the machines, but at a guess they'll want to do some sort of trails when the machines are switched on,not to mention training the staff as i am lead to believe the machines in the new Mistral(HH)mail centre are not currently used in the old Hemel,Stevenage & Watford mail Centres.I guess 2nd class machinable work will be diverted there for the said trails.wandle wrote:Anyone know when the new super-MC at Hemel Hemstead will be up and running ? As to the migration process,i wonder how it will be done, all at once or one office at a time,if so who'll be first to move in!!will Hemel and Berko deliveries be left in situ for a while until the new mail centre gets up & running!!!....who knows...Royal Mail & the project team are playing their cards very close to their chests.
Do we know when the people who have opted for VR or transfer to another office will know their outcome and when will the people who have opted for the new mail centre know what shift they have been successful at getting(if at all)
The story goes Managers from all three sites have had their interviews and will find out their futures very soon,i think there will be some disappointed managers shortly.
