I didnt realise tempory staff and fss who have only been in business for less than 6 month got a payout for the collegue shares from years ago

I know someone who had to leave and never even got the back pay from the payrise, she would have got the money if we had got the payrise when it was due.

I do wish people would stop referring to these payments as ‘Colleague Shares’. It would be hard to think of a more wildly inaccurate misnomer. To start off with we are a public sector organisation wholly owned by HM Government – there are no ‘Shares’, and there never have been. The entire exercise was developed in the first place by a plonker long since departed. The money is simply a lump sum paid as a result of Union pressure.

My ‘certificate’ came through the front door, via the kitchen, and straight into the recycle bin. Total time in the house probably less than two minutes, and I have subsequently received all due payments.
