As regards packets we’re seeing the effect of all the recent public holidays.

Every time we get a day off the great British public plonk their collective arse down in front of a computer terminal and declare “I’m bored. What shall we do? I know, lets buy something, anything, doesn’t matter what it is but let’s buy something!” - - - and 20 million pairs of hands spring into action tapping away on keyboards fulfilling the capitalist’s wet dream.

Consumerism? Don’t you just love it!

I get daily updates from RMCS and all this week there has been a problem either with the planes the roads or just too much mail to connect on time.

To be fair,in these statements RM are saying they are failing the USO on a daily basis. :nervous

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Down here in the sunny South nights failed (flats, letters and packets)for the 4th consecutive time.
NSM running around everywhere trying to plug leaks and giving us all a laugh.
Going all out tonight to make it 5!!!

Turned up ready for action.
2c diverted to allow earlies and lates to do all intra, inward and DSA.
MCM and NSM wandering around trying to look nonchalant and important.
Casuals littering the place - oh dear! quiet night not much work arriving.
Half the workforce sent home on flexibility - saves the budget makes NSM look good.
