Slightly better for packets today, but the mail just kept coming. Ah well, 1 to go, off next week.

Packets were supposedly bad at ours today. I say supposedly because the easy walk I'm on never seems to be bad on anything. I was done by 12.20pm and at a loss as to what to do with myself. You might enquire as to why I did not pace myself better. The truth is that I did. But a 350 dp walk is not going to take anybody much time at all. Especially when ninety of those dp's are a terrace of shops and houses that can be hit in about ten minutes! Amazing stuff, truly amazing. There's a walk not an arm's length away from this one that I know is a beast. Some folk have it all too easy. Apparently, the gentleman currently in possession of this walk is very protective of it. I wonder why.

Monday should be fun though, first day with walk sequenced mail (but cause I am only on 20 hours, this means 10.55 start with no indoor work :) . See how that pans out.....Bad i think!

Was a shocker here, it just kept coming and coming. But ... the joke of a round I've been on still only took 2.5 hours, and I'm not joking when I say it was heavier than a muthafrakker.

Got rained on, but finished on time..

Then stopped for a pint on the way home. Put my change of £1.50 in the fruit machine... and won £140 ... Bought my lovely wife a bottle of Fizz. Everybody happy.

Everything going well.. until I got back to the HCT. I'd locked it up and done a loop. Went off with a second loop, when I got back I realised I'd lost the keys. Quick phone call to the office and the bloke comes out to rescure me and phone ROMEC. The main thing is that I followed procedure. I made sure that the mail I couldn't get rid of, was locked securely in the pouch box, and NOT in the HCT. What really annoyed me was that back in the office they had keys for the HCT, but NOT the cable lock I'd secured the HCT to the lampost with.

A real pig of a sat

Seven mech trays of mail about 95% DSA. Not many flats but a drop bag and half of packets

Could not take all the recorded's as the office would be closed when i got back but still took 9 and left 4 for monday

Took 4hr 45min to get round, booked 1hr 30 mins.

Poxy week.

Have to say my day was somewhere between ok and pants....never seem to have early dya on Saturday anymore, despite RM claiming to help staff have more time with our families. Certainly not helping me to spend more time with my family when we have to cover deliveries by collapsing every poxy week, FILL THE DAMN VACANCIES..

Whether the sun shines or not I don't know....Only ever stop for a beer when the mood takes me. But the money was a welcome return. And I don't normally play the bloody things.

It helps to pay for our hols at the end of the month
