20 minute route planning exercise!

Post by Zanfta »

Hi! I would like to know what I should expect and how it looks step by step?
When I had interview in RM, it was just interview. We had driving test only on induction day. Both was o.k. I feel little nervous, because I may not have interview if I wont pass that "Route planning exercise".
So. As I understand, I will have list of streets, and I have to plan my route?
P.s Sorry about two things: English gram an stupid question. I am not so good in English.
Thanks for any response!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Hi

I was given 20 or so pieces of card that represented parcels, a map and a list.

I used highlter pen to mark all parcel destinations on map then put a number next to each one.

Then I wrote them on the list from 1-20 in order and put the bits of card in corresponding order.

You get plenty of time so its easy enough.

Hope this helps.

there will be timed deliverys also so you need to plan these in to your route ,dont go straight to them plan some drops on the way there, also plan to finish near the start/end of your route ,they may also put in deliverys where there is no one home , plan to go back to these for a second attemp,

read the questions firsr ,plan a rough route then look at it again it is quite simple but you just need to read the list they provide and take your time,as they will ask questions at the 1-2-1 interveiw as to why you did it that way

good luck
