Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Easy for me. On a different walk, as usual, a full timer's walk this time. The guy has considerable seniority so, as you can imagine, it's a two hour twenty minute walk. I'm not exaggerating either. I threw all the rest of the d2ds in when I got back as well to piss whoever is on it tomorrow off - they would simply not do any otherwise, so they can at least take them where they're going. Especially as they use their own car, or so I've been told.
Anyways, about today. I only had three bags. The walk has 300 houses on it, plus a few shops. It's a joke. There's a few with long drives, but not that long. Twice the length of a small drive, maybe.

What has seniority got to do with the size of the walk? They are supposed to be more or less equal.taurus88 wrote:Easy for me. On a different walk, as usual, a full timer's walk this time. How do you manage to tie up (redirections? dead letters? weigh bags?) and get to your first delivery point in 30 minutes?NEmallard wrote:

I'd love to have 30 minutes to do that.............IWT says it can be done in 2 minutes 34 seconds (and pegasus says it only takes 4 minutes 12 seconds to travel 6 miles).clashcityrocker wrote:How do you manage to tie up (redirections? dead letters? weigh bags?) and get to your first delivery point in 30 minutes?NEmallard wrote:

The Capacity Plan comes from a Monty Python sketch because it says you can finish before you even start. (I'm going to suggest all our managers start talking in Yorkshire accents)

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
They are more or less equal. But some are more or less equal than others. Last week's walk took me three and a half hours most days. This weeks will take me two and a half hours every day, max (although I'll drag the time out somewhere). A couple of weeks back I was on a four hour walk. They're all more or less equal.heapsy wrote:What has seniority got to do with the size of the walk? They are supposed to be more or less equal.taurus88 wrote:Easy for me.
