How long does it take for your back and legs to stop aching :chuckle
They don't.
Wait until your knees and ankles join in. :chuckle

Yep then your shoulder :left:

Thanks for that cant wait :chuckle
Ok i will stop pulling your leg :Very Happy

In truth it all depends on your age and your fitness level before you joined the job :hmmmm There is a pain barrier to get through and it varies from person to person and duty to duty. I recon you could be talking at least a few weeks or even longer for your body to kinda catch up with the extra walking, carrying and bending etc.

Plenty of tips on here but i ve always believed the most important thing to look after is your feet because if they blister its a real nightmare. So a spare pair of socks is good and a supply of blister plasters.

Good luck mate
Cheers mate thanks for the tips :cool , i am lucky thats it is good weather at the moment and i have now got 4 days off to recover. I am not aching this morning so thats a good sign, 5 days in a row next week so that will be a good test

I know this is a bit boring, and probably a bit obvious, try going to bed a bit earlier. About once a week, go to bed an hour earlier, it does help. You need to find out what time you really need to go to bed. For some, its around 21.30. some earlier, some later. Everyone is different. It also depends on your start and finish time and lenght of duty, and even your age and general fitness level, ( although this will improve with time) but eventually you will find your level.. so to speak.

Yep thats true getting the correct amount of rest is really important when you start. Its tempting to grap 40 winks when you finish but for some this can make it hard to sleep at night so tread careful there. :hmmmm

Brilliant.
Everyone worked to the unachievable standards of the Capacity Plan.
We cleared all the mail.
And I managed to do my whole round in the shade.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Do we work in the same DO? I didn't get to 14:30 but not far away. That was the busiest Saturday I can recall including all the back-log after the snow.
I staged a Roger Moore impersonator festival in my local village. There were a lot of eyebrows raised, I can tell you.
