what should our response be to late starts???

We had the Sector manager at our WTLL session today. When informed that as we are at stage 3 disagreement, and the IR framework has not been exhausted so Exec action should not happen, the sector manager responded with an arrogance, not giving a monkeys about the IR framework. I see a strike abrewing.

You might as well wait until these "so called"talks have finished between UCW & RM,then when no agreement has been reached(which i think is on the cards)we can all join you.

Our Dom today tried to inform the workforce that 6.15 starts are planned
for our office beginning on the 17th sept,but was politelly asked to refrain
from issuing RM directives whilst we are in national negotiations.
The look on his face was priceless.

Have been telling our dom the same thing, have pointed out where it is written by rm, but to no avail it is driving me up the wall disagreement in now!!!!
They say they want it in before xmas p****s!

we recieved today the letter from The Union with regards to my original question - very informative and responsive considering other ongoing concerns - several of us pinned them on the noticed board next to the DOM's 'proposed' new starting times.

so nothing is to be disscussed with regards to late starts at all - full stop! gr8

although just to note a colleague today was approached by our DOM and was asked to participate in a disscussion with regards to him being unable to fulfil any later starts due to family commitments - my colleague replied that he would not disscuss anything to do with these proposed new hours and the DOM replied well dont come crying to me if you cant be accomadated elsewhere in the business. way out of order!

i take it the Union will take issues like this into account when they at some point begin to negotiate about these delayed starts?

One of our members was approached by a manager saying he would have to change duties under the new start times because a member of staff had child care committments - the cheeky sod - the management are under the impression that there won't be a repick - but hey they havae another think coming.

Me I am on holliday at the mo but bumped into a work mate who was told at this weeks W T L session that they were going to bring in ealey starts as soon as poss even if talks had not finnished it's dissgusting the way they are breaking all the rules that they have laid down we should never have stopped the strikes

Seeing as it is them that are telling you not to talk,then i would of thought so.

My opinion for what its worth is......If our union do get a deal(as you know,i dont think they will)later starts will without a shadow of doubt be part of any deal,RM are desperate to get them in,otherwise why would they say that we can keep the early allowance money after the 3 years.

like 2003 , when New labour Clown Billy Hayes got the deal & unofficial IA stopped, plenty of reps and activists suspended & sacked on spurious flimsy grounds . Royal Fail never change especially with the overpaid , half witted idiots in charge. :lfo :cfo They actually think they're in a strong position after IA suspension and will try and break the cwu from the PEC down.
