It could be for a number of reasons, possibly one of the following:

August is traditionally the quietest time for deliveries (although not true for all offices) - I finished about one and a half hours earlier than usual today. But expect that to change dramatically as autumn pressure starts when all the main holidays are over.

The route may have been changed due to an office reorganisation, perhaps placing you earlier in the delivery process.

Your regular postman may be refusing to do unpaid overtime and part of the walk has been given to someone else to do - leaving him to do his favourite part which includes you :Very Happy

or sometimes the postie changes the route of the walk the odd day for a change of routine, i myself wud do that on the last part of my walk which is a big long road and sometimes i do the top half first or vice versa... Also the mail is way lighter, i have been done 1.5 hours earlier also both monday and 2day.. i expect that to change very soon tho.. So enjoy getting your post earlier dear customer as it is only a temp thing!! after 17th september it cud be well after lunch b4 u get it!!!

Probably because Mothers haven't been doing the school run lately or maybe he has stopped using his car on delivery and has changed his walk around so he finshes near a bus stop and not by his car or he may have gone part-time in which case he hasn't got to wait for the missorts anymore!!!!
