Woman pedestrian dies in Fleet Royal Mail van shop crash
Scene of crash A cordon is in place and the road closed, police said.

A pedestrian has died when she was hit by a Royal Mail van as it crashed into the front of a shop in Hampshire.

The vehicle left the road at about 1220 BST in Fleet.

The 35-year-old woman pedestrian, from Scotland, died from her injuries at the scene of the crash in Fleet Road, near the junction of Victoria Road.

The driver of the van, a 48-year-old man, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving. He is in hospital with minor injuries.

A cordon is in place and the road closed.

Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said crews were called to the crash after the light goods vehicle left the road and went on to the footpath.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

integrate, not at all, or a blinker when turning

moments went down this road before with the child and the fear to think what could have happened five minutes earlier
miejescu ? - in fact could you expand on the whole post - the last line I think is about you missed the accident by 5 minutes which is lucky for you. You also say that someone was not indicating when they were driving this car - well as it is a Company vehicle, it might not be the same driver you see every time.

How sad to hear the poor lady lost her life. Lets hope the vehicle is roadworthy and doesn`t have any defects , if so VOSA should screw royal mail, because one area that cuts cost and corners is vehicle services.
