Done my 1st park & loop duty this morning and I loved it. Can't rush and take short cuts with a trolley, no weight on my shoulder. No stress, just done my hours and cut off :cool Now off for a fortnight :nana :nana
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Day off today and day in lieu for Monday. Still was reliably informed it was heavy today.
Run, rabbit run. Dig that hole, forget the sun.
And when at last the work is done. Don't sit down, it's time to dig another one

Our office fell apart. Significant parts of walks hadn't left the building by the time I finished for the day, and I brought back about 40% of a walk. Prep was the biggest shambles this morning - didn't get out the door till 8.30, didn't post my first letter till 9.05am (start at 7am on a Saturday). It takes half an hour to get back to the office, plus my half an hour break, plus pouching off time, so I was left with about two and a half hours to do over four hours' worth - thanks to shoddy organising. Tuesday will be exactly the same. I don't care either.

Yep was a shambles here as well - they even got early starting PTimers up to sort IPS as they had finished prepping their coded/sequenced - lots of moaning by them and lots of grinning by me, sorry.

Actually on delivery although it was a high call rate because of the census chasing letters, it was light. 2 Days off and then a 3 day week :nana :nana

Pretty busy day all round but it did have one highlight. I was in the back of my van with one of the rear doors open across the roadway. there was still plenty of room to pass as it hadn't crossed to the opposite lane. Bear in mind this is a private housing estate with little or no traffic. Then there's a long blast of a car horn with the driver shouting abuse and waving frantically at my open door, which he passed without slowing down. Fast forward 5 minutes when he pulls up next to where I was by now walking. "Excuse me, do you know where...?"

"No".
I staged a Roger Moore impersonator festival in my local village. There were a lot of eyebrows raised, I can tell you.

Total shambles here too, place was rammed when i arrived resulting in loads of stuff left in. A4 council mailshot came, thought i'd dodged it as there are only about 30 council houses on the walk i was doing. Then the call went up to cut off sorting and start bundling. Went to the frame for the walk im doing next week and the guy had taken a whole 2 bundles of the mailshot and left me with 13 bundles for Tuesday.

Shambles in my place too, you'd think bank holidays creep up and they don't know what's going to happen  loads left behind by everybody but next week................election material, not all of it in yet, I think they're keeping it behind because.............I don't know  and to top it off, Sky mags came in too, 16 bundles of them.

I can't wait for the zombie apocalypse so I can bash some brains out.......................oh crap, managers will be immune :nervous :chuckle

Sky mags and election material came in at our place this morning - only the flyers on their two-hour walks bothered to throw any in. There was mail all over the shop when I got back with all the managers still there - past 12 o'clock on a Saturday! They're usually all out the door by 10am. The problem now is that Tuesday is likely to be even worse than today, and as far as I am aware, nothing will have changed in the interim. Thankfully, 'tis not my job to worry about it. I quite fancy some overtime next week though, and there'll be plenty of it by the look.
