I was paying £1.64 before and I'm now paying £1.80.

From that LTB:

With inflation running at over 4% the NEC determined that we should keep our core rates to a 3% increase to recognise the financial pressures members are under.

Unless my maths is wrong, £1.64 rising to £1.80 is an increase of over 9.75% not 3% and that's in a basic week with no OT.

Makes me wonder what the unions view would be if RM were to use the "given the financial situation... " argument to take more money from us.

think ive bin ripped off with election payment ,does last saturdays get paid today or next week?

I handed mine in on a Saturday and had to wait till next but one pay day for it to be shown.

So hold on, your getting paid for election stuff??? We've been told we don't get that anymore!

im a 28 hour a week postie & my union subs have gone from £1.90 to £2.20 in a week! 30p rise!! is this right? has anyone else had an increase in subs??

The union has a political fund used to campaign on political issues.
In order to be legally compliant they must offer members the option to opt out.

So even though I opted out of the political levy I'm now paying it again (or have I been doing so for a while without having been informed otherwise)

Seems the CWU don't listen, YET A-f***ing-GAIN, I'm at the end of my tether as far as this sham of a union is concerned. Perhaps they'll listen if I stop my payments.
