It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is shaped. Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.

Just trying to work out where the picture was taken, as there's no trees outside the MDEC building, and I recognise some of the people in there from Plymouth.
The picture was taken on the last saturday strike at Plymouth MDEC.
The banner is positioned almost opposite the ramp of the car park entrance.
The picture is of the banner, 3 MDEC Unit Reps, our Area Processing Rep, our Branch Secretary and a (in suit) a CWU National Executive Officer.
I totally agree with both johnnypick and lovejoy - I spoke to 'that guy in the suit' on the picket line that day and know that he is a good CWU Official. More importantly I know he is behind us at MDEC 100%.
I was proud to stand on the picket line (again) that day outside MDEC but MORE THAN PLEASED that a CWU National Executive WANTED to be there too.
Incidentally, the MDEC Manager, on a saturday, honoured us with his presence too. Crossed the picket line in his lovely black Jaguar. Very nice car.

I think it would seem logical to assume that anyone in a position to own a Jaguar would need to earn a substantial salary. For me this would require a question to be sent out on here to anyone with some information regarding the salaries of MDEC Managers. I would be very keen to hear from anyone 'in the know'.
I am curious as to why the post was entitled 'MDEC Photo No 1'. Instinctively I would assume it was for the fact that there are more pictures available or possibly 'in the pipeline'?

Sounds like the Politician saying "I can neither confirm nor deny if any further pictures exist"
