easier said than done when you have alot of strike breakers and selfish pr**s in one office.you can tell people to stand up for themselfs you you carnt make them. then when everbody else is wanting to get off and finished early what can they do
i have been at royal mail now for 13yrs and i have never meet as many selfish people in one place in all my life
if you wont stand up for yourself then youre screwed arent you?

fulltimers get the hardest walks then the rest get the easiest
so someone who has worked 30 yrs gets a hard walk and somebody who hasnt been there gets the easiest
wheres the fairness in that
Just console yourself that you're getting the Regular Pay for that duty i.e 31.5 Hrs. Even when you're sick or on leave. If you want an "Easy" week just drop down to a 20 Hr Duty! No IPS, No Prep, No D2Ds. Just walk in pick up your 1st bag (all your other bags will have been taken out by the time you start at 0900) and off you go. All you've got to do is a 4 hour Delivery only duty. :Very Happy

Oh! One small drawback at the end of the week you only get paid for the 20 hours you've worked! Which is about £150. No finishing an hour early and still getting paid for it. And because you're not allowed in early (Like 0530!) and your four hours are smack bang in the middle of the day it's difficult to arrange another PT job. :arrrghhh

I believe the CWU should be fighting to get more PTers made up to FT. The benefits for the workforce would be great. Least of all it would stop this us and them bullshit. And a lot of the problems associated with PTers having to "Kiss Ass" to get the extra work would all disappear. :no no

Bet the pie eaters couldn't do it in 4 hrs, bet they couldn't break into a run................unless the pies were free.

You need to come to the braintree office mate, ft work till 12, pt work till 2, ft rounds are a lot easeir than pt rounds they also get more for households even though the rounds are meant to be the same. Days work times should be, ft= 6-15 till 1-45 return to office pouch off wash hands teabreak=2-2-40, pt= 7till 12-15 return to office pouch off wash hands tea break 12-30till1-00. Of course take into account peoples speeds these times will not be possible but to clip 1.5 to 2 hours off a round means the rounds need more added not less. Then of course we have this,
1= using personal cars, 2= overweight bags, 3= not sorting correctly, 4= running,5= freinds helping on delivery,6= posting recordeds and specials without signature 7= doorstepping, 8= putting letters in postbox for delivery next day, 9= bringing mail home. All these things go at braintree, you got it lucky mate, no offence meant. Angel fish12

To start making PT into FT you need work. At my D.O PT are 30 hours jobs prep and delivery so if they wanted to go FT you would need to reduce staffing numbers and redploy work to make 30 hour duties into 40 hour duties. We have no operational need for more staff on IPS so were do we get the work from?
