once very simple change.... sack: all the managers who dont actually work other than watch and criticise others, all the board of directors (well they probably get paid more than any one of us earns in a year in a week) and replace them with staff who have actually have frontline experience with RM who would be paid a sensible wage for the job they do instead of being overpaid.... ie. people who have sorted mail in MCs and people who have done delivery on foot

As already mentioned remove the DSA agreement and marketing restrictions that are slowly killing us. After that and if we had the money I would make the rounds smaller again and re-introduce the 2nd delivery so we can give the public the service that they deserve. :wink:

Bring in a new salary scheme for managers and senior directors that links their pay to the number of staff they are responsible for. So, if the top bod slashes 65,000 jobs out of 170,000 (as has happened in the past), his/her pay is slashed by 38% as well.

If a DOM does a revision and cuts three duties in an office of 30 staff, his/her pay is slashed by 10% as well.

After all, if savings are needed, and he/she has less people to manage, they should see their pay shrink. Otherwise, we can argue that they must be overpaid if they're doing less work for the same money as before, surely ? :whistle
