It was my day off today except I was woken by a text at 5.30am
Lovely sunny day bit chilly in the breeze though.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Wonderful! Laid in bed watching MOTD, wife brought up cup of tea and Sunday paper. Got up, took shower, went down to bacon sandwich and another cup of tea. Prepared evening meal whilst wife was in bath, got changed, went to B&Q bought a water feature, and odds and ends and got 20% discount because I spent more than a £100....very reasonable I thought. Took dog for a ramble in the countryside and my beloved collie as well
. Came home had another
started watching Blackpool and Arsenal, until the Arse scored and then got bored. Went into garden and installed the water feature concealing wiring under decking, got the potato sacks ready and planted the potatoes, prepared the greenhouse for the tomato plants ready for later this month, did a bit of tidying in the garden, refitted some trellis work that had blown down and then went in bath and watched the end of AV and Newcastle.
Beautiful sunny day................more of the same please.

Got up late at 7am
Came home and spent part of the afternoon power sanding down the patio furniture whilst my missus re-stained them, it all came up like new
Had a late lunch and an a ice cold beer and then fell asleep in the summer house for an hour
All in the sunshine. Pity its back to work in the morning.
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

Slightly odd atmosphere in the office today. A sense of unease all round. Got out just after 10am. 4hrs 45 to deliver. Delivered everything.Got a bit of a soaking about an hour in to the walk.
Sun came out and dried everything up.

I was off fri /sat and came in to a bloody mess. Last weeks d2d's, kill offs not done and redirections scattered the the four corners of the frame not to mention someones bags and shoes /socks left
.
Must of been a heavy few days as a found an empty packet of pain killers as well
Took 5 mins just to get my area workable before i could start prepping the 5 mech trays of mail sitting there and that before the IPS.
Took 4hrs 35min today not including a 30 min Meal relief i took around 1pm. Really warm in the sunshine but with a nice breeze. Got to dig into 5 lots of D2D's in the morning.

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
s**t day, got in at 6 so I could have a cuppa before my 6.10 start, ended up having a row with an early starter so that set me up well for the day. Got given a filthy van, looks like the interior has'nt been cleaned in 5 years!, did'nt have time to argue about that, left the office at 10.30 returned at 14.10. Then had a row about the van with the lineo
Day off tomorrow.

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Forgive me for the following, but no D2D's this week
The same for quite a few in our aisle, so we'll probably get mullered next week
The difference is incredible. Have got time to stop and chat a bit, fanny around trying to find people in their gardens if they haven't heard a packet knock, and wait the full two minutes until the old dear realises your shouting at the window isn't the Loose Women audience. All in all, be able to provide a decent community service for one week of the year at least.
