Handing your card back was a mistake but your lino seems to be a right cock.Any normal person would of seen you were irate and ignore it and talk to you on the Fri.
The whole saga tbh is quite unbelievable.
Good luck.

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

If there are terminating your contract it should be in written to you. I think. The manager is going to say you left. Do you have your p45 yet or is it p60. I was probably wrong with earlier post. Maybe word of mouth is ok when starting but finishing ?????

Have you spoken to your depot rep and/or the DOM i.e. your lino's manager, about this debacle?

Re: join the union or beware !
If I learned this had happened at any of the previous companies I have worked for, then I wouldn't believe it. However this is RM. A company that operates using fear, bullying and intimidation to get the results it desires. Rather than encouragement and reward which I have generally experienced before. Also if your DOM is anywhere near as an unpleasant individual as mine, then your story seems perfectly plausable to me. My advice would be to join the union, talk to ACAS and consider taking RM to employment tribunal if they fail to reinstate you. Thats what I've done with my dispute. Good luck.
What have I done to deserve this?
