New Tax Codes

I know we are supposed to get a uniform allowance but my Tax code has changed I know the allowance went up, but don't know if it incorporates the uniform allowance or not. My tax code for the last year has been 0647L it is now 0747L. On my PAYE coding notice 2010-11 it says it is 658L. So is the extra £89 my uniform allowance and can I claim back last years uniform allowance and if I can how. Thank in advance for any help.

0647L = £6470
0747L = £7470

Last year: 0659l
This year: 0759l

Normal should be 0747l so i guess i've still got the cleaning allowance.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

This tax code change regarding cleaning of our uniform came up last year. However, when I spoke about it to HMRC on the phone, they told me I was not entitled to a better code! :arrrghhh

Just read about putting my application in writing for a better code...
