Question for Dingo:RDC's

As you seem to have a pipeline into what's really going on (your leak about the ColleagueShare 'valuation' being correct), do you know what's happening with the review of RDCs ? All our rep knows is second-hand info from another rep, who claims that joint meetings between RM & CWU on the issue of potential closures keep getting postponed

Yes there were due to be two meetings last week in Cotton House Rugby to discuss the RDC reviews. However in line with the CWU`s postion over colleague shares and the issue over complusory redundancies the officer in Charge Terry Pullenger cancelled these meetings.

So at the moment whilst we can all have a reasonable guess at the ones we believe will be under threat , we have yet at to be told.Sorry that I can`t be more helpful but until the issues have been resolved we will not resume further meetings.

I understand the position Terry Pullinger is taking, that until the bigger issues are settled, we are not getting involved in talks about RDC closures, WCM or any other issues. But... is there not a danger that if the CWU refuse to have talks, RM may just press ahead with their own closure plans with no union participation and thus leave the members who work in RDCs completely sidelined ?
