I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Don't give in Mojo we all feel like that. What keeps me going is knowing they want people to jack it in, so every day I get through is a small victory!
Union what Union? Do we have a union?

Been in our office since September, they've tried allsorts to get it to work and nothing has worked fully efficiently. At the minute they have created two extra duties, these cover the loops that have been taken off each delivery, the deliveries have been timed again and the planning once again was very suspect indeed.

I would demand to be brought back to the office, they cannot just say right, so you've done your bit, now f**k off.
If you don't get any joy, escalate it to your area rep.

What i will say about park and loop if it implemented in every office is that most people over 40 (me included) will not be able to work at the pace expected till were 65 not a chance in hell 4 hr deliveies and more are bloody hard work on your knees, hips, arms and feet, all i can see is lots and lots of staff leaving on health issues ,welcome to the future of royal mail !!!

Totally correct, some of the walking is up to 12 miles over 4 hours, i dont think they can expect older (and youngsters) people to work to that pace can see alot of sick very soon .but who will take the blame management, union i think the blame game will soon start and each party will be looking to cover their backsides.mojothefishmo wrote:What i will say about park and loop if it implemented in every office is that most people over 40 (me included) will not be able to work at the pace expected till were 65 not a chance in hell 4 hr deliveies and more are bloody hard work on your knees, hips, arms and feet, all i can see is lots and lots of staff leaving on health issues ,welcome to the future of royal mail !!!

Interesting point ,will Royal mail become liable for making people do unachievable workloads, causing lots of people to retire through ill health?
