Re: MAN HANDLED BY THE MANAGER
If he gets away with it this time, he'll do it again to someone else. Stand up to him.

Re: MAN HANDLED BY THE MANAGER
See his boss and complain, if there are witnesses tell him how many.
This should be a conduct code matter against the Manager who assaulted you. Not a grievance.
If it's ignored put a grievance in against the Manger that you have taken your complaint to.
This guy will do it again, he's lost it.
He could and should be dismissed, posties who do it are.

Re: MAN HANDLED BY THE MANAGER
You go to the police and have him charged with assault ( you have a witness).
Royal Mail would have no option but to either move him or suspend him.
If he was found guilty ( which he should be if it's you and another witness) he'd be dismissed.
If you follow this route any manager in the area who would take over from the idiot who man-handled you would be too scared to even look at you the wrong way.
No one in RM is above the law.
Once it's all over then you send the boys round to give him the 3am chap

Re: MAN HANDLED BY THE MANAGER
My advice is don't bother, i took out a bullying case against my DOM, and my complaint was upheld,
What have Royal Mail done since ? Nothing !
The only thing they offered was mediation , which i refused as i know it would do know good as this DOM has been on my case for months and only once slipped up and shouted and threatened me in front of witnesses, hence how i won the case.
Royal Mail have said that as i have turned down mediation there is nothing they can do.
I expected him to be moved, or if i had not won the case i bet they would have moved me straightaway.
Royal Mail claim to take bullying very seriously , trust me , they don't.

Like what?? Speeding tickets, parking fines, shooting unarmed Brazilian electricians, beating newspaper sellers to death ??? The police have to deal with it because a crime may have been commited.Indy wrote:I think the Police have better things to do or at least they should!bringon4dayweeks wrote:yes call the police get him charged with ASSAULT good luck

I'm sorry but thats just simply not true.stokes11eg wrote:It's an assault pure and simple. Even store detectives can be charged with that if they lay so much as a finger on a suspect, unless they advise they are making a citizens arrest.

Re: MAN HANDLED BY THE MANAGER
Touching someone is not necessarily assault.
You don't need to touch someone to be guilty of assault...the threat of physical harm is assault.
What you do have to be is aware that your behaviour may cause your victim harm or cause your victim to believe they may be harmed.
