Yep DFS flats, yep it was raining. The 6 lots of door to door made my day though on our supposedly light tuesday. The bonus is ive only got 25 years to do. By then i will look forward to spending my lump sum payment on a top of the range wheelchair.

If you mod the batteries you can get 15 mph out of one.

Nah...sod that, get a Honda CBR125 lump welded between the wheels ( 90+mph ), with a short length of metal between the gearbox and armrest, and pop the clutch lever on the top end ( so it looks like a railway signal box lever ).....and if you have arthritis in your fingers, get something like a scooter engine in there with the auto 'box....five minutes sketching on the back of a fag packet sorts the plans, get someone handy with a welding torch on the job & Robert is your father's brother

What are these DFS flats? Catalogues? I don't think we've had them yet (I fear we haven't had them yet).

Addressed, A4 size white envelopes, probably with a catalogue inside? They come in their own lovely little boxes, like D2Ds or the census. I had eight of them

Everyone seems to have two days to clear them, which adds maybe 10-15 minutes on the sort time per day?

The real bugger is the added weight and humongous bundle sizes. Our section pretty much collectively refused to lapse when they turned up on Monday

f***ing annoying.

Work was Ok, got done smack on time, although last 2 boxes of sequenced came 30 minutes late. No heavy bags, all D2Ds done as per matrix etc. It was after work 2 buses home, then realised that I had left my house keys in work - 1 more journey in and 1 more journey back home. As I said f***ing annoying but I am the idiot so can't blame anyone else.

Strange day. We're a long way off revision so until recently, nearly all full-timers were gone between 9-9.30 and probably at home by 1.30 at the latest.

Management have really been clamping down on this. Bringing in new starts so no more days off, double and even triple prepping. This week, they've even got someone in this week to cover my day off, even though I'm p/t as well

Today was ridiculous. I left at 10, and lots of full-timers who've never been that late, were still there. Hardly anyone takes a proper break, so how are they supposed to complete on time?

Another day where the mech came in late and all in one lump so it actually jammed the door and we all had to stop sorting to clear it

Ended up with 6 trays of mech in total

so was late getting out. B

booked 40 mins extended.

Have been over every day this week. Manager who's on this section used to do the walk I'm on. I'm getting the sense that he's close to arguing the toss over overtime claims. I guess he doesn't take into account reality. I don't use my car. I don't know the walk. I have to cycle three miles back to the office at the end of my delivery. I'm going in tomorrow, prepping my d2ds, and then seeing what needs to be done, because I'm going to go over again, probably by an hour. If there's any hint of an argument then I'll postpone my delivery at an appropriate point (yes, I'm not using that postie-ist 'cutting-off' terminology any more).

Only extended on the duty. My usual finish time is 14.15 anyway.
