Is this a inside job? one wonders!
900 tickets for the FA Cup semi-final between Manchester United and Manchester City have been stolen from a Royal Mail van.
The tickets – all for Manchester City fans – were inside two bags of special delivery mail swiped from the back of the van on Ashton New Road in Manchester.
Police are investigating the theft and working with the Eastlands club.
In a statement today, Manchester City 'strongly advised' fans not to purchase tickets from unofficial sources. There are fears that the stolen tickets could now be sold on the black market.
All supporters affected are being contacted, the club said.
City have received a ticket allocation of 31,500 for the West End of Wembley for the April 16 clash, the club's first semi-final since 1981.
The van was travelling from the club shop to a Royal Mail sorting office. It is not known if the thieves had deliberately targeted the van.
In a statement the club said: “Manchester City are working closely with Greater Manchester Police and the Royal Mail in connection with the theft of special delivery mail items from a Royal Mail van.
“A number of tickets for the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley Stadium were stolen. All supporters impacted by the theft will be contacted by the club in the coming days.
“Supporters are strongly advised not to purchase tickets from unofficial sources.
“Only tickets purchased direct from the club will be valid for the game.”
Police added: “Shortly before 7.50pm on Friday April 1, police were called to Ashton New Road, Manchester, following reports two bags of special delivery mail had been stolen from a Royal Mail van. A number of tickets for the FA Cup semi-final were stolen and GMP is working with the Royal Mail and MCFC. Inquiries are continuing.”

How much are you selling them for?
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

One little comfort for nine hundred Man City supporters , they won't have to hide their tears from fellow supporters when their team completes thirty five seasons without a trophy .

Man arrested after theft of FA Cup semi-final tickets
http://uk.reuters.com/article/2011/04/0 ... UD20110406" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
A man has been arrested on suspicion of stealing 900 tickets for the upcoming FA Cup semi-final between Manchester City and Manchester United at Wembley Stadium, police said on Tuesday.
Two special delivery bags containing the tickets were stolen from a Royal Mail van close to City's ground in Manchester on Friday.
Greater Manchester Police said they had arrested a 39-year-old man on suspicion of theft on Tuesday after a number of addresses were raided. He has been bailed pending further inquiries. Media reports identified him as a post office worker.
Police said they feared the tickets for the derby clash between the fierce rivals on April 16 were to be sold on the black market. No tickets have so far been recovered by police.
In a statement on their website (http://www.mcfc.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;), Manchester City said: "All supporters impacted by the theft will be contacted by the club in the coming days.
"Only tickets purchased direct from the club will be valid for the game."

I can't believe someone could be so stupid as to steal the tickets themselves.
