Thats the way it is here, 1-2-gone

You can appeal of course but last year a very good postie was disposed of using the stages due to illness, In fact if I remember right he triggered up to a stage 2 with illness then when he came in late they got shot. Thus being replaced by a part timer!!!! Absolute farce!!!!

Our dum is on the prowl, He's getting rid of anyone for anything, One lad was suspended for not delivering his door to doors, He appealed and it came to light that he had in fact delivered them, the dum took it personal and went all hell for leather to get him ending in him being sacked for willfull delay. At this time we had no union rep in our office and the guy from the other office is a rm suck up. He was glad to out of Rm by the end of it!!!

Sucks ass

Had a bit of success lately with stage 1 warnings, as most of them have been linked to AOD's, but have a stage 2 pending which i am not to hopeful about which i will probably pass to area rep, because of the implications if it is issued as you all say after stage 2 you are on thin ice.

I would always advise were possible to link absenses to AOD's at least you have a fighting chance with them..

I repped a stage 2 at mey office. The ops manager tried to say it was an AOD (trip) when it was an IOD (injury). Then he tried to rush the interview saying he had other things to do. Slapped him back down by telling him i'd go all day if needs be. Reps, be strong in these interviews. Get release for prep with members. Managers are trying to railroad stages through to get rid of staff. Save them paying VR when sequencing lands.

Post by POSTMAN »

:mad
D'u know what,ALL Managers are..........
I've just pm'd myself a warning
This topic really grates me,it pisses me of soooooo much when i read s**t like this.
Stated elsewhere(no not there but in another post  ) i was done, stg 1 17 MONTHS after my last sick
And someone else at my place, and he had no sick for 2 years
We get done all the time, all issued no matter what.

Was hoping to get a copy as a rest day screw told me he had recieved an e-mail from above that the amount of stage warnings given we're not enough as the percentage had gone down.
:mad

So when they give you the bollox reason they give it to you and that there is no pressure from above the scum are lieing!!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Our old Manager has been long term sick for a while now with a rather nasty skin complaint, not saying he should be sacked as he's one of the better ones, however i have to ask what would have happened to one of us in the same situation...as it is he's been transferred to an easier office" for a while" so as to aid his recovery?????????? Take from that what you will....
